The proponents of APNG have set up a mailing list for discussion of APNG: http://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/apng/ APNG is a proposal from people in the mozilla community for an animated PNG-like format with a small feature set unlike any existing MNG profiles. (Many features of MNG-LC are excluded from APNG, but the ability to restore old images, which MNG-LC lacks, is planned for inclusion in APNG.) One issue being debated is the extent to which APNG can or should be compatible with PNG and/or MNG.
