CVS should contain the fix now, but somehow anonymous access seems to 
run behind on SF. The online browser is still showing the older version.
Pls check back in a couple hours.

Accidentaly, your fix would only work if the source-image is less than 8 times 
the size of the destination image, which is true in this case but not always...
The temp buffers in question need to be the rowsize of the source-image.
