Re: Setting up outlining to behave to my needs

I find the layouting to be at best an approximate first step for  
anything at all complex.

Omnigraffle throws things all over the place without a care to  
aligning similar objects, minimising wire crossovers, moving labels to  
stay close to lines etc., and, as you say, there is no way of giving  
it rules, like "keep all squares on one horizontal line"

It would help somewhat if particular objects could be locked down, but  
Omnigraffle also needs better logic, and some rules like trying to  
keep lines symmetrical and simple.

But when asking it to layout this selection




gives this... I give up :-)
