OG 5.2 Default Font Problem.

I just downloaded OG 5.2. I can¹t seem to change the default font.
Inspecting and setting the style of the text tool seems to work, but the
actual text entered is 12 pt. Helvetica no matter what the default style
setting is. I reverted to 5.1.1 (thanks for the archiving option in
installation) and the default text style works as expected. Trashing the
prefs file had no effect on the problem. Any other ideas?
