Libpng-1.2.8 and libpng-1.0.18 are available for download from http://libpng.sourceforge.net in the DOWNLOAD area and from ftp://swrinde.nde.swri.edu/pub/png/src/ This is mainly a bugfix release that fixes a bug introduced in libpng-1.2.6 that crashes applications that strip the alpha channel. Also, there is a new "visualc71" project for Visual C++7.1 and there is a new "makefile.elf" for symbol versioning. (Bcc to png-announce and png-list; replies to png-implement, please.)
