MNG file size reduction and conversion into 4 Bit grayscale

Hello Team,

I have a question related to libmng. I have mng file with
colorspace RGB and
channel depth R : 4 bit, G :4 bit, B :4 bit.
I want to compress the size of the mng image and also wants to convert the
image into 4 bit grayscale. For that I am trying to use libmng library.

I just want to confirm that it is feasible to do that with libmng library
or not.

If yes then can you please guide with some approach.
