To me this was very useful and so I saved all periodic reminders to a file for later. It seems that Mailman no longer sends such reminders and the lack of reminders is not specific to SourceForge. The only thing we can blame on SourceForge is not allowing the mailing list moderators to see subscribed email addresses and unsubscribe based on address. The moderator can only approve, discard, and ban based on received mails which are still in the moderator queue. SourceForge did this to protect privacy and avoid collection of addresses by spammers. Regardless, mailing lists do help protect privacy in that they do not collect cookies, location, and other tracking data.
