your aims. However perhaps you can explain why the W3C is now the
authoritative organisation.
The position of ISO/IEC seems somewhat counter productive if W3C is the
authority; they should
at least mention on that web page that you are in charge, even if they
don't say that you don't charge.

The OP did, in fact, ask about sRGB; a core part of the web because in
practice all images embedded
in web pages are constrained to be sRGB and the colours in CSS are sRGB, so
"W3C has a policy to
always make specs freely available *at not cost*".  Nevertheless I find
after searching for the copy of the
sRGB spec on the W3C web site (exactly what the OP asked for):

I'm not blaming you, I suspect we do, in fact, speak pretty much exactly
the same language.  I'm not
blaming the W3C.  The problem is somewhat intractable.  I'm criticising.
Personally I much prefer
criticism to put downs; I've found people who criticise what I say are most
often correct, at least on
this list.
