This is a call for discussion on the PNG proposal
to formalize the PNG chunk registration process.
A vote on this proposal will occur after at least
14 days have elapsed from the date/time of this
message, and at least 14 days from the last substantive
change to the proposal. Voting will occur on the PNG
mailing list png-mng-misc-TtF/[email protected], following the
procedure specified in the document

This is the procedure we have been using all along,
but never formalized. I added a paragraph to state
that if discussion lapses for 30 days without a Call
for Vote, a new two-week discussion period must
be initiated before a Call for Vote may be issued.
