My demos had the "ExifID" because that's what ImageMagick gave me when I ran "convert file.jpg file.exif", and I thought that was what an "exif profile" was. As I understood Jason's comment and John's earlier remarks, that was a mistake. The 0119 version of the proposal is still a "proposal", subject to discussion and amendment. Meanwhile, I've got my copy of ImageMagick fully supporting the current proposal, via a libpng user callback, only tested so far with libpng-1.2.54 Glenn On Sat, Jan 21, 2017 at 1:11 AM, John Bowler < [email protected]> wrote: > On Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 8:51 PM, Willem van Schaik <[email protected]> > wrote: > > why updating the chunk proposal before any serious discussion has > > happened ?? > > I raised the point before Glenn wrote the formal proposal, no one > expressed an opinion (beyond my original one, which was pretty much a > non-opinion). > > So an opinion was expressed and that has to tip the balance.
