eXIf chunk proposal refers paragraph 4.7.2 of EXIF specifacation: >The data segment of the eXIf chunk contains an Exif profile in the format specified in "4.7.2 Interoperability Structure of APP1 in Compressed Data" of [CIPA DC-008-2016]... And this paragraph refer JPEG limitation of 64k per segment: >The APP1 segment cannot record more than 64 KBytes, a limitation that shall be kept in mind when recording thumbnail images. That's the point of my question: length and offset values of chunk allows up to 4GBytes data value, but reference to 4.7.2 of CIPA DC-08-2016 limit data to 64KBytes 02.03.2017 15:18, Phil Harvey пишет: >> From: Pavel Zlatovratskii <[email protected]> >> >> Repeat question about 64k and paragraph 4.5.2 instead of 4.7.2 > I don't know what paragraphs you are referring to, but there is no 64k limitation in the eXIf chunk specification. All offsets and length words are 4 bytes, so the limit is 4GB. > > - Phil > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most > engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot > _______________________________________________ > png-mng-misc mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/png-mng-misc -- Have a nice DOS.
