Probably your document ought to mention the privacy
concern about the possibility that people might post
a cropped image that unbeknownst to them also
contains a thumbnail of the uncropped image.  That
is of course not a problem introduced by the PNG
eXIf chunk but by Exif itself no matter what the
image format.
