Dear Greg Roelofs (and all), Thanks for your e-mail, it is important to do not forget it and to honor Glenn Randers-Pehrson! It is important to continue the PNG project in his honor and for his work. We think of him. I am very happy to help the PNG project for him. It is not finished since 2021-06-26 (4 years soon) but it will be perfect when it will be done by Cosmin Truta who must to contact GitHub (one has been done on 3). Like the official website http://libpng.org/ is always not up-to-date and unsecure, I request again to secure it and to add on the homepage a message to honor Glenn Randers-Pehrson. All tickets are on GitHub. Question: Why not to take 1995-01-04 instead of 1995-03-07? It's not often one of the big anniversaries comes around, so, you know... The spec was finalized 30 years ago today, and conformant implementations started showing up shortly thereafter. (Well, there were already some even beforehand since they were necessary to test the spec itself. Tip of the hat to Glenn Randers-Pehrson, more commonly known for shepherding libpng until his death a few years ago, but who also rapidly iterated on at least one or two experimental PNG apps prior to the spec's completion and created some of the earliest still-valid PNG images.)
