ubuntu 24.10 - error with including sane ppa-repo

Hi,

i need a newer version of sane because v1.2.1 has a bug with escl.
Unfortunately, ubuntu 24.10 includes v1.2.1, and I can't include the ppa in
ubuntu due to a missing release file - is there another way to include the
repository without errors in order to install the newer version?
