Upgrade for OS11 ?

Dear Scribus team, I recently downloaded Scribus to my iMac and at first it wouldn’t work because my OS (HIgh SIerra) was too old; however after I updated my OS to the latest version (Big Sur) I could not open it because my OS was now too new! The error message reads: “Scribus can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.” Do you know if an update is on the cards?
