First ones coming in my mind:
- lot of crashes (number of them should be fixed in 0.34)
- wobbling frehand tool (somewhat better in 0.34)
- cannot break path at arbitrary position
- if font has more styles than 4 std. ones things are messed up
- Objects with gradients cannot be copied/pasted (objects can,
  gradients not)
- No text-on-path
- Text is very inflexible
- No pattern fill (or UI for that, to be precise)
- and more...

Seriously, I have heard about sodipodi used in education and
some specific (lightweight) commercial applications, but not
where more serious drawing capablities are needed.
