same here, but on win98, they don't minimise properly either. i like to be able to open the windows, let them drop behind, and call them back from the task bar, is it possible that this will be a behaviour changable from a perference dialogue in future? this is similar to the nasties that happened to inkscape before they completely massacred the UI.
