I think it should be non-X11, if you do not enable KDE and Gnome support, and it finds fontconfig instead of Xft. Fontconfig should be picked up automatically, but it seems to fail sometimes for some reasons, so instead older and X11-dependant Xft library will be used. Any help how to make autodetecting better is welcome.
