I saw a badly drawn flag of Macedonia in the flags gallery (it kind of hurts national pride :) I therefore sat and and did it in svg (by hand, I opened it later in sodipodi without problems, added benefit - it's smaller then normal sodipodi files but can someone validate it to be shure because it's my first time to use svg ?) following the directions on http://flagspot.net/flags/mk.html Since it was suggested to have the smaller side 140mm I used a viewBox attribute on the svg tag, I used it to be able to scale the propotions to the required dimensions, but I'm not shure if it's the correct way of doing it. Does the svg format have something like an <author> tag? I added this line <desc>Flag of the Republic of Macedonia proclamed by the Decree No. 08-3359/1 on October 5,1995; Author: Srepfler Srgjan </desc> but I think that having a tag for authoring would be nice... The http://flagspot.net/flags/mk.html page gave some colors but I used the default red and yellow attributes for them, as the yellow reported on the site might have been more correct but the red one was totally off scale (maybe because of my monitor?) so I sticked with the default since in Macedonia we all say yellow and red not * Red: Pantone 485 c / CMYK (%) C 0 - M 100 - Y 90 - K 0 * Yellow: Pantone 108c / CMYK (%) C 0 - M 0 - Y 100 - K 0 If someone can use a namespace to separate the Author:... bit in a separate tag I'd be thankfull I did not know how to do a 3:2 version of the flag :( prehaps if altering the width and height of <svg> to 210mm and 140mm, and keeping the same viewBox? I put my work in the public domain, so go there and multiply :) I'm not following the [email protected] mailing list so please inform by mail if something is wrong or if you will add it in the gallery.
