If the screen wasn't left, the pointer shouldn't be moved (stay were 
the user released the mouse button). Therefor moving it back to the  
slider in case the screen was left would be inconsistent.
Placing it at the closest edge position should be ok. But it would 
have to be tested.

Oh, the question was if it would scaleable by being vector graphic, 
did not mean the format here ...
I think it would be good thing to allow designers to hand in SVG, 
if it is used directly or not is not that important.
Is conversion from SVG to Opengl an option?
