As mark pointed out a while ago, linux only had a few developers to start with, but grew slowly. It's a lot better than having lots of developers, then have interest drop off completely. If that slashdot thing was serious, I think it'd be best that we let slashdot give us traffic whenever they feel like it because a short burst of developers won't help very much, just create a lot of noise. The advantage of long term developers is that they learn the structure of the project rather than making a patch that fixes one thing, but invisibly breaks 3 others. > (Yes, I'm another hypocrite that contributes nothing to Y.) ditto I was (and still am) planning on exploring Y a little bit and documenting how to use some of the things i find and then submitting that documentation for the y website, however I haven't found time or haven't been very dedicated :) -- James Harr <[email protected]> http://www.grickle.org/
