Does it really need a new name?  I was kinda partial to y-windows
myself.  I'm not really clear on the rules of etiquette as they apply
to this case.

In any case, before anyone gets ahead of themselves: Has anyone
emailed Mark Thomas directly to ask how he feels about the current
state of affairs or what anyone might do with it?  Presumably he's
still subscribed to this list (actually, presumably he still
administrates this mailing list, since it's @y-windows.org and that's
his domain), but perhaps he's been filtering the list to /dev/null in
his mail client for a while or something.

I'd tell you that it might be a good idea to send a query to Andrew
Suffield as well since he was principally involved in the earlier
development, but I'm betting he'd rip you to shreds and break your
will :)
