If we are talking about bazaar then you won't feel any  disadvantages to
SVN, since it states to be command compatible to subversion.

What I personally like about bazaar is that it is state of the art and
that there are already nice GUIs that seem to support plenty of its

But I have to admit, that I have not tryed it in person - though I am
