Preetham, I had that problem too. I use a Radeon 9200 in my development box. I think that I had to fiddle with the default.conf and server.conf files. I seem to recall that one of them isn't needed. I'll attach both. You also have to have a valid /etc/fb.modes file, and your .conf files have to use a valid mode from that file.
