ok, what you want in your kernel, in the usb section
is:

-prelim. USB device filesystem
-(your driver... UHCI/OHCI)
-USB mass storage (this is for the memory stick)
-USB Serial Converter Support
-USB Generic Serial Driver
-USB Handspring Visor/Palm m50x/Sony Clie Driver

with those enabled, you should be good to go, you have
the same device as me, and same kernel. just make sure
to get the latest jpilot and pilot-link
