I've been working on a JPG/PPM-to-PictureGear converter, but it's not done
yet.  I have the PictureGear-to-PPM/JPG converter working, but that's less
useful.  :)  I think someone on this list has already written a JPG-to-PGP
converter but might not have released it yet.

If you have a memory stick, you can copy JPEGs directly to it.  Put them
in the /DCIM/100MSDCF directory and name them DSCxxxxx.JPG, where 'xxxxx'
is a zero-padded number, like 00001, 00002, etc.  This fools the Clie into
thinking they're pictures from a camera.  The quality will be lousy until
you import them to PictureGear format (and optionally export them back to
JPEGs on the memory stick).

The Clie SJ33 can play MP3 as long as you have a memory stick to play them
from.  It can't play MP3s from internal memory.  IIRC, some older Clies
can support an external MP3 adapter.

To put MP3s on your memory stick (if you have an SJ33 or similar
MP3-enabled PDA), use the "Memory Stick Import" app on the Clie and the
usb-storage.o module on your Linux box.  Then just mount it as a SCSI
drive and copy the files /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO directory on the memory
stick.
