I'm looking for a new PDA that's do network syncing with evolution/outlook, a reasonable image editing program, 802.11b web browsing.

I'm hoping to replace my aging Palm IIIxe ;-). But I don't have any real reason to unless I can get the #1 most important feature (to me) and that is Nework sync. After much searching around I found that Activesync up to v3.8 did that, but as of 4.1 it no longer support it (pretty stupid I think). I'd like to be able to connect to my home WAP of course, a bit of web browsing.. And my wife is an artist and sometimes enjoys doodling on her pocketpc/phone (which is going away soon).. So some form of program with basic painting functionality would be great. I'm hoping Familier running on an iPaq might fit the bill (my primary desktop is Gentoo linux), but I'm open to any and all suggestions. Perhaps I can simply downgrade Activesync....
