I must install the toolchain for arm and i did read the readme, but i dont
understand if
it's enough to untar the arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2 file to the host
computer or if
i have to download all the bz2 files from the source directory then run
the
build script gcc-build-cross-3.3 instead or both of these operations?

There are several arm-linux cross toolchains here:

- arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2

  - build script: gcc-build-cross-3.3
  - gcc 3.3.2, glibc 2.3.2, binutils-head (roughly 2.14.90 from CVS)
  - sources:
    source/gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2
    source/glibc-2.3.2.tar.bz2,
    source/binutils-head.tar.bz2,
    source/glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.2.tar.bz2

  - installation:
    wget
ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/arm/toolchain/arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2
    tar -jxvf -C / arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2

Older toolchains are in archive/ with sources in source/
