Very small X for embedded systems

Hello Group,

I'm searching for a simple way to get some rough graficfunctions on a small 128x64 pixels display, but I have no
working results by now.
I know the GPE-Project via openzaurs.org. I own a Zaurus SL5500G and it is really similar to what we are building,
except the display is much smaller.

To give you a rough overview about my target system:
- Atmel AT9RM9200, ARM9-based system-on-a-chip
- 16 MB Flashrom, jffs-filesystem
- 32 MB SDRAM
- 4x UART, USB-host and -gadget, ethernet, aso.
- 128x64x1 lc-display, framebuffer-device
- linux-kernel 2.6.15
- glibc 2.3.4

By now we use only a linux framebuffer console and ncurses for our user-interfaces, but we want to use some gafics.
I tried to build a tiny-x/kdrive server for the target and it works, but with all the needed stuff it gets up to 5 mb
to run e.g. xclock.
Now I have to shrink it down to about 1mb, but I have no ideas how to do that.  There are functions we do not need,
like antialiasing or font randering.

Can you give me some hints to do that?
