  Nice, thanks! That's part pf the answer I expected - what's going to
be the next big thing. I tried it, but it's a bit rough yet. I already
have some patches for it, will post later.

  But in teh meantime, it's still seams that xkbd is viable solution,
and I guess something should be done to revive it a bit. Last thing I
found out that with Familiar 0.8 transition, xkbd-layout packages were
lost, and there re no .bb's for them in Familiar/OE .dev. That sucks.
