i don't know if someone here has experience with this already but i suspect that
if you want to get the same behaviour and functionality like in X this is a
quite some effort. But even quite low performance devices like the Nokia 770 use
GTK with X (2.6 in this case) so i really wonder if this effort and loss of
flexibility it worth that effort.
