It is. build/conf/local.conf contains
DISTRO = "familiar-unstable"
MACHINE = "h3900"
TARGET_OS = "linux"

IIRC those are the only changes (apart from removing the oe:fatal  
comments).

My build created 2.3.5+cvs20050627-r12
and libglib-2.0 builds 2.12.3-r0

My iPAQ h3900 has accepted an upgrade to libglib-2.0 (and also a  
marginal upgrade of libsqlite0) but I get this when trying to install  
gpe-expenses:

libgpepimc0 on the iPAQ is 0.6-r1, libgpepimc0_0.8-r0_arm.ipk was built

gtk+ is 2.6.10-r4, gtk+_2.8.9-r4_arm.ipk built
libgcrypt11 is 1.2.1-r0, libgcrypt11_1.2.2-r0_arm.ipk built
libgpg-error0 is 1.0-r0, libgpg-error0_1.3-r1_arm.ipk built
libext6 is 6.2.1-r4, libxext6_X11R7.1-1.0.1-r0_arm.ipk built
libxcursor1 is 1.1.2-r3, libxcursor1_X11R7.1-1.1.6-r0_arm.ipk built
libxfixes3 isn't installed, onlt libxfixes0, 2.0.1-r2
libxfixes3_X11R7.1-4.0.1-r0_arm.ipk built
and so it goes on.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not on the right ipkg feed.

I have feed-base, feed-base-h3900, feed-updates, feed-updates-h3900,  
feed-common, feed-common-h3900, feed-x11, feed-x11-h3900,  
feed-base-locales, feed-base-locale-de, feed-updates-locale-de,  
feed-common-locale-de, repeated for fr and en, universe-common and  
universe-common-h3900 with the same locales. All are  
http://familiar.handhelds.org/v0.8.4/

The conf file warns against building a versioned build but it seems  
that this is exactly what I will need. Can someone confirm this before  
I rebuild?

What are the chances of an upgrade of each of these packages NOT  
breaking other parts of Familiar?
