wrap some scotch tape around the middle of the shaft until the stylus is snug enough to stay in.

  I had the lock\line insurance when this happened to me.  Sprint sent me another i300.  A few years later when I lost the i300 lock\line said there are no more i300 phones and they sent me a i500.

  So the bottom line is there doesn't appear to be a way to fix the tab.

    Hi all, 

    I am still holding onto my trusty I300 but I have a problem. 

    Seems like the tiny plastic tab in the back case has broken off, 
    this is the one in the stylus slot that holds the stylus in.  

    Anyone know of a fix for this? 

    I have a second i300 that does not work but the case is in excellent 
    condition, but Sprint says they cannot swap cases for me. Anyone 
    know if this is possible?
