-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello. I need to reenter the production/serial no. of my 3850. Reason: I had 3 different iPAQ3850. One for navigation with Destinator 3. This one I got stolen out of my car recently. Now I wanted to use the one I had Opie Linux installed on for navigation. I restored my old backup of wince made with bootldr. But now the device has no serial number anymore. The problem is that Destinator uses the serial no. to check the license. In addition, I am not able to switch the license to the new device with the Destinator website because the serial number of the device is also needed to generate a new "Device-ID" for the Destinator licensing process. The third iPAQ I have has also no s.n. since I had to restore it years ago after it lost its brain because of an empty battery. I restored the PPC OS using the bootldr wince or the CF-Card-Backup. I?m not quite sure. Does someone know how to reprogram the PN and SN of a iPAQ 3850? Thank you for helping.
