Hi, At the moment, i'm looking for installing a linux based OS on an handheld. For now, i have tested the familiar distribution on a h3970 and it seems ok (with gpe environment). However, i'd like to install a recent kernel ( >= 2.6.19) but i could not find an image for it. Is there any ? Secondly, I have a more general question, my objective is to port an application developped for linux on a handheld. This application is based on GTK and written in C++, moreover it requires some linux features (quite recent) like: RTNetlink, RPDB and iptables packet marquing, packet capture (libpcap), Mobile IPv6... If IPv6 could work it would be very nice, otherwise IPv4 would be quite ok. Though my question is, first: is that possible ? If yes, what handheld would you recommend to do that (we can buy two different handhelds if needed) or what handheld do you most actively work on ? Seems to me that h5550 is a good candidate, isn't it ? Finally, what about UMPCs, are there any opensource linux distributions for that ? Thanks in advance for your help, Maël _______________________________________________ The Familiar Linux Distribution Familiar mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/familiar irc://irc.freenode.net #familiar
