How to connect a ipaq 3600 to WinXP using USB or Serial

Well, I have the problem that I cannot connect the ipaq to the Internet over
Usb or Serial. I tried the howtos on this website but XP does not accept the
USB Driver (‘linux.inf’). And the ppp connection over serial doesn’t work,
either
