Any way to recover from bricking

Well, the bootldr was installed and minicom was communicating, just couldn't boot. Now, nothing gets my Paq going. I am afraid it is bricked. If anyone has advice, please let me know. If there is a way to bring it back to life, I would gladly ship it to someone (and perhaps have them load Opie for me. :) Thank you for your time.
