Well, this was also my understanding. So, somehow usb-eth and g_ether is
not set up correct, or is not working, or something, on the iPAQ. I have
tried both, and none of them worked. But okay, I have only used Linux a
few months. I still don't know all the basic stuff about where drivers
are loaded in the startup process etc, so I am not really able to help
myself much finding a solution. I must admit I gave up. The plan is to
look at it again later, but right now I don't have the time to play with
it.

BTW - the reason why I would like to install Linux on the iPAQ is
because I wanted to write programs on it. Not really programs to run on
the iPAQ, but consol mode apps for Linux in general. I have written a
few programs for Palm OS using OnBoard C compiler (a C compiler that run
on Palm handhelds) and I like the fact I can program in the train or
other places where a laptop is too big. It's just a shame Palm OS is
dead. But then, it looks like Linux has a future... ;-)  (If I don't
give up again next time I try to get that f**king iPAQ to connect to the
PC...)

BTW - would I have had more luck if I had used a 3850 or earlier? Or
maybe a later model? I read somewhere the 3600 series was the best, but
3900 was faster, had more ram and was also supported, so I picked that
one. But are some models easier to get working, than other?
