If I check the English wikipedia I see that:

HP iPAQ 110 series

ARM? So... the kernel linux does work on it? (I know that the kernel 
Linux had always an ARM branch) Or should I search for a Marvell PXA310 
specific Linux branch ?

I actually do not want to build a custom kernel. I am asking myself if I 
am going to need to build one myself or not.

If I trust the deutsch wikipedia:

it seems that the ipaq 500 is a smartphone which I suppose it is quite 
different from a ipaq 114 which it is a pocketpc if I am not wrong.
That's it. From: http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaq514 its 
cpu is a OMAP 850.

but I repeat I actually do not know if I have rebuild the kernel or not.

HP Ipaq 200 have the same cpu.

And know I have two question:

5) Apart from the Kernel is there any support for the screen or for the 
other parts of the ipaq 114? How do you debug if the kernel is lacking a 
driver for the screen or for the touchscreen or for another thing... 
serial line... maybe?
Any link on documentation about this subject?

6) Can I make work a Linux distribution (even custom-build) in this IPAQ 
114 in less than one month working 8 hours / week ?
