Identifying chipsets

Is there any way in either familiar or the ipaq windoze to identify
the actual chipset in a CF or SD card? I'm trying to figure out what
driver might work with a Amicon fm radio CF card, but cardctl ident just
says "FM tuner"
So far trying it in my laptop under debian, I've gotten several
drivers to load, and the fmtools app to appear to be working, but the
light on the card never comes on and no sound comes out. Works okay
under windoze mobile in the ipaq with ambicom's driver loaded.
It's useless to ask their tech support, I've tried, all those idiots
will say is "we don't support linux".
