Ipaq H5550 Familiar install cant reset after bootldr

maybe some one can help me with this one. I am trying to install Familiar Linux on an Ipaq H5550. I have transfered bootblaster and bootldr to my ipaq into the documents folder. seems to install fine. everything verifys. heres the thing, I cant reset.. center joy button and reset. nothing. From what i understand it should at very least vibrate, it does nothing it dosen't even freeze up on me. i have tried different releases and everything.
