[Fwd: sym links]

Sorry if this is a repeat but I'm not sure the first one got to the list.



Folks;

I just installed Familiar on my iPaq 3600 along with Opie.  I have a 
sleeve and added in a 4 GB CF card that I formatted with an ext2 fs.  I 
modified the ipkg.conf file to add the cf card as a destination for 
packages.  The cf card shows up mounted on /media/cf and the ide_info 
tools shows the filesysten looks OK.  I can read/write to it with no 
problem.  So far so good. 

Using Opies' package manager I install an Opie package, let's say Opie 
Calculator.  Everything goes well with the install until the end when it 
tries to make links from the calculator desktop to the quick launch 
program.  It fails to do so.  This is not unique to this one application 
and it appears to happen to most if not all the packages that require 
sym links.

Does anyone know what I'm missing here?
