/ "Hicks, Jamey" <[email protected]> was heard to say: | - What kernel modules are missing? h3600_backpack and serial_cs, at least. Maybe usb-eth. I have to admit, I struggled a lot and may not have remembered the details exactly. Oh, I also couldn't even start PPP because /sbin/pppd is missing. | - ssh is not meant to be in the bootstrap, but you should be able to install | it once the bootstrap is installed. Ok, but how? If I don't have SSH, how do I get the ipaq on the network? I wanted to use usb-eth and scp to copy files over. I thought I might be able to get on directly with an ethernet card, but my Linksys combo card wouldn't initialize (possibly because serial_cs was missing). I've finally got things sort-of working, at least now intimate boots off /dev/hda1 again and doesn't hang (tts/0 in /etc/inittab was the second to last problem I had). Now when I boot up, I can't login as root (it says my password is wrong). I gave up at that point and figured I'd start looking again this evening. Hints most welcome.
