Does this occur with the 0.5 image as well? I guess I'll try it tonight, along with the guidance from many of you. Research advisor who wants it done yesterday :) I installed Intimate over Familiar with no problems. The install script ran through and installed a bunch of stuff on the microdrive, and the post-install worked. I see a /linuxrc and /linuxrc.intimate from familiar. However, I can't get intimate to boot. It looks like the microdrive is only recognized as a memory device -- mounting /dev/hda1 fails with "no such device" and familiar shows up. From familiar I can eject the microdrive ("Unloading memory_cs") and reinsert it ("Loading ide"). Any idea why the drive is only recognized as a memory card when the ipaq is first powered on?
