In first 32k of ROM now resides the WinCE boot/resuume loader. I do not think wince will survive replacing this part. Moreover - we do not have suitable bootloader for linux to boot from CF. I've read something bootldr maybe can boot from CF, but its size is more than 200kB. Also, if we make a flash to J720, then the main reason should be to have suspend/resume working. Otherwise it makes not much sense, as wince is also a kind of semiinteligent linux loader.
