Is this a 100% confirmed fact? Has anyone tried > disassembling the WinCE bootloader, or getting hold of the original HP > engineers who wrote it? I tried disassembly (some other maybe too), but no success - I do not have a really good debugger, I only had a disassembled code, which is not enought. I tried to contact HP engineers, but the WHP2000 is dead for several years and nobody is willing to spend time (=money) on investigating how it was (pretty understandable), also it's maybe some kind of NDA with MS. As of flashbootldr: The guys from HP CRL wrote themselfs the bootldr for flashboards, as experimental project to implement Linux on jornada. As CRL is closed now, I am almost sure there is nobody with time to develop anything for 6 years old device. The only stuff that is available for us is the one on the handhelds.org, which is from mid-canceled linux implementation project. I am glad that the outcome of this project was linux running on J720, but we can hardly expect any more help from HP. > > -mato > Adam Pribyl
