Hello,

The Jornada 56x linux port is based on the handhelds.org kernel tree and is
officially supported by familiar linux.
All hardware features are supported, but sound and powermanagemant are still
suffering some bugs.

Sound: CPU usage is very high during playback so it begins to stutter.
Microphone/recording was not yet tested, but probably also same CPU usage bug
(DMA/SSP issue).

Powermanagement: Bad battery life during sleep (2-3 days max). Probably
because of unproper CPU/Hardware shutdown. Resuming the device is fine.

There should be a Familiar 0.8.4-rc4 release with all the new features for the
Jornada 56x in the course of the next week.

Installation procedure will remain the same. Flashing the .jffs2 images must
still be done using a serial console as we do not have any other options.

kind regards,
Alex
