I wouldn't mind outsourcing the board fab and soldering, but I would definitely need a good number of commitments to even consider that course....  From my unofficial/unscientific poll awhile back, I think I only had about 12 takers -- not exactly a resounding success (and not enough to get much of a volume discount).  However, if we can get takers on the HPCFactor.com list <nod to 'Nick L'>, we might have enough takers to make it professional.

Anyway, I'll know more about the pricing once I get the research done and a preliminary design.  I'm still hoping to modernize the board and pack a few "surprises" on it as well, but it really comes down to what chips are available and at what price.
