With Microsoft's release of the kernel source, and getting PB (or the equivalent) for $1000, it could make it possible to put CE6 on a new flashboard. I have NO idea what the licensing is like, and MS may well have thought through that one anyway and killed the ability to do so - but it is a possibility. Personally, I'd rather have Linux - but some may prefer CE, and the ability to reflash the J7xx makes it interesting.
