Hello,
I've installed Familiar liux 8.2 on my Jornada 720 and have had very few
issues with the distribution, but I have a few questions that I can't seem
to find answers to in the archives or anywhere else for that matter...
It is possible to turn off the LCD back light while leaving the system
running? There are times when I'll SSH into the Jornada to modify files,
etc.,.. but I'm not using the actual display. Some like echo "off" >
/proc/jornada/lcd would be nice... Something I could call in a bash
script? I hate leaving the light on for hours when I'm not using the actual
console. Turning off contrast and brightness doesn't seem to disable the
back light itself... (I'm running the latest 2.3.34 kernel)
And does anyone have a good key mapping for the ABA version (I guess this is
the US version?)? I'm unable to use the ~, [, ], { or } keys. I've read
that a such a key mapping exists in the 720degrees distribution but that
website doesn't seem to exist anymore nor can I find a mirror site...
Thanks in advance,
-N2
